seeing Christ in every story
Starts September 12
This year our Wednesday children's ministry will be going through the great stories of the Old Testament, teaching children to see Christ in each of them. On Wednesdays, kids are invited to gather upstairs, while parents enjoy a Bible study downstairs. Nursery is available for infants. New children are welcome to join us anytime! Our hope is that this ministry will bless children both from our church and from the neighborhoods surrounding the church.
We are so excited that our kids will learn to read the Old Testament the way Christ taught us--from their earliest days!
Our nurseries are in the process of being updated! We offer separate nurseries for infants (non-walkers) and toddler-aged children (walkers). In each nursery, there are multiple nursery workers for safety and mutual accountability. Nursery is provided during Sunday School, worship services, and other events, as noted.
You are welcome to bring children of all ages into our worship service, and we encourage you to worship as a family. We know little ones have lots of energy, and this means noise. We get it! It takes time for children to learn to sit quietly, so we show lots of grace to parents. Nurseries are designed for children up to age 4. We'd love to have kids ages 4 and over in church as much as possible. Our nursery volunteers will provide quality and security care designed to give your child a very positive experience.
Busy bags are available outside the nurseries in the hallway for children attending the service to enjoy. Please feel free to worship in the service with your little ones for as long as you feel comfortable before dropping them off in the nursery. Our mission is for even the youngest among us to hear the gospel each week!
We want to maintain a welcoming and safe environment for children. All volunteers who work with children at Bethel are required to submit to a background check.
We offer Sunday School classes for children, ages 2 and up. We are currently using Great Commission Publications' curriculum. In addition, teachers receive special training in teaching "gospel for growth." The good news of what God has done for us in Christ will be sum and substance of every Sunday School lesson your children hear (cf. John 5:39-40).
