Discover how Bethel is making disciples of our children and youth from their earliest days through high school, preparing them to be rooted, established, and maturing in Christ.
Our children's ministry program starts at 2 years old and goes through high school. Our focus for every class and for each and every lesson is the Gospel. If your child is attending either Wednesday Night or Sunday School, please fill out the emergency contact form.

How is Jesus like Noah’s Ark? How is Jesus the true and better Moses? Why is the parable of the Prodigal Son so shocking? Whose Acts did Luke really record? What did Jesus accomplish with his life, death, and resurrection? Children, 2 years old through 5th grade, who attend our Gospel Kids program will learn the answers to these questions and many more. In the Gospel Kids class, students will learn how to see the good news of Jesus Christ throughout all of scripture. Our curriculum is divided into four, one-year cycles:
Year 1: Jesus in the Old Testament: Did you know that Jesus Christ is proclaimed throughout all of the Old Testament? Every story points us directly to the One who is our Prophet, Priest, and King. Children learn how to listen to any story in the Old Testament and see Jesus.
Year 2: The Life of Jesus: Did you know that Jesus fulfilled all of the Old Testament? Our Gospel Kids will learn about the good news of Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection as our Prophet, Priest, and King. He is the fulfillment of all the Old Testament passages that we learned about in Year 1.
Year 3: The Acts of King Jesus: Whose Acts are recorded in the Book of Acts? King Jesus’! And he is still ruling from his throne even today! The Book of Acts shows us that Jesus continues to work as our prophet, priest, and king now that he has ascended to his throne. The works of the Apostles are really those of Jesus ruling from his throne. Having accomplished our salvation, he is now applying it to his people through the power of the Holy Spirit. Children will learn to see how Jesus is their true King.
Year 4: The Parables of Jesus: The Parable of the Prodigal Son is truly shocking! Dignified fathers never ran anywhere. Why did this father run? The Parables of Jesus are vivid, engaging, and memorable ways that Jesus taught us about himself and his Father, the nature of his Kingdom, and the life he produces in us as his citizens. Our Gospel kids will learn what it means to live in Jesus’ kingdom.
In Gospel Kids, we aim to instill in our children a love of Jesus, which is founded on all of scripture. He is spoken about in the Old Testament and he fulfilled it with his life, death, and resurrection. He continues to reign from his throne as our Prophet, Priest, and King; his kingdom has no end. Through His Holy Spirit, we are enabled to live as his citizens. This is the Gospel, the good news, that our kids will love to learn!

Youth in this class will study the main teachings of Scripture as laid out in the Westminster Shorter Catechism. There are two ways God calls us to study Scripture. One is to study each individual passage. The other is to compare what God says in various passages and begin to understand the message of the Bible as a whole. Jr. Youth kids will study the main teachings of the Bible as a whole as helpfully laid out in the Shorter Catechism |
This fall we will study the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5-7) in an interactive, discussion-based bible study format. Through the course we will also learn about Covenant theology, Christian ethics, and what it means to be a disciple of Christ from a Reformed perspective. |
We offer Sunday School classes for children, ages 2 and up. We are currently using Great Commission Publications' curriculum. In addition, teachers receive special training in teaching "gospel for growth." The good news of what God has done for us in Christ will be sum and substance of every Sunday School lesson your children hear (cf. John 5:39-40).
