Wednesday Night Children's Ministry

Our children's ministry program starts at 2 years old and goes through high school. Our focus for every class and for each and every lesson is the Gospel. If your child is attending either Wednesday Night or Sunday School, please fill out the emergency contact form.

Gospel Tots
2 Years old - Pre-K

Kids in this class will learn how to see the good news of Christ in the Old Testament. The aim is to engender in children, while they are young, a maturing love for the gospel by training them to see Christ in every passage of the Old Testament. Each lesson points to Christ and is at a level they can understand. It can be amazing how even the most complex passage can have a simple message.

Gospel Kids
K - 5th Grade

Same as the lower grade class, kids here will learn how to see the good news of Christ in the Old Testament. The aim is the same, to engender in children, while they are young, a maturing love for the gospel by training them to see Christ in every passage of the Old Testament. The material for each lesson is the same as Gospel Tots class, but more focus is given on details for the older kids.

Jr Bethel Youth Group (JrBYG)
6th Grade - 8th Grade

Youth in this class will study the main teachings of Scripture as laid out in the Westminster Shorter Catechism. There are two ways God calls us to study Scripture. One is to study each individual passage. The other is to compare what God says in various passages and begin to understand the message of the Bible as a whole. So the Jr Youth kids will study the main teachings of the Bible as a whole as helpfully laid out in the Shorter Catechism

Bethel Youth Group (BYG)
9th Grade - 12th Grade

Youth in this class will study the Essential Truths of the Christian Faith following RC Sproul's book. Each lesson will cover two to three chapters and help kindle a lifelong love for truth and begin learning about Christian doctrine. 

Children's Sunday School

Sundays, 9:30AM (check Events for dates)

We offer Sunday School classes for children, ages 2 and up. We are currently using Great Commission Publications' curriculum. In addition, teachers receive special training in teaching "gospel for growth." The good news of what God has done for us in Christ will be sum and substance of every Sunday School lesson your children hear (cf. John 5:39-40).

 

Nursery

Nursery is provided during Sunday School, worship services, and other events, as noted. The nursery is designed for children up to age 4 and is located to the right of the entrance, by the women's restrooms and the playground. We also have a cry room and nursing room available to parents. 

You are welcome to bring children of all ages into our worship service, and we encourage you to worship as a family. We know little ones have lots of energy, and this means noise. We get it! It takes time for children to learn to sit quietly, so we show lots of grace to parents. We'd love to have kids ages 4 and over in church as much as possible. Our nursery volunteers will provide quality and secure care designed to give your child a very positive experience.

Busy bags are available outside the nurseries in the hallway for children attending the service to enjoy. Please feel free to worship in the service with your little ones for as long as you feel comfortable before dropping them off in the nursery. Our mission is for even the youngest among us to hear the gospel each week!

We want to maintain a welcoming and safe environment for children. All volunteers who work with children at Bethel are required to submit to a background check and complete MinistrySafe Training
